Hey, readers! I'm back with another article in preparation for Denver Regionals and League Cups. I have had an excellent third quarter for this season, winning two League Cups and two League Challenges to maximize my possible Championship Points. I won with Lightning decks, which have been my favorite decks by far. I think the meta-game is pretty defined, with five popular decks and some niche tier two decks.

I would evaluate the top five decks in the following way: PikaRom/Zapdos, Zapdos variants, Blacephalon, Zoroark/Lycanroc, and Ultra Necrozma/Malamar. All these decks have been among the most successful so far and I think they will continue to be played since they’re all good in their own right. Some tier two decks that are relevant include Alolan Exeggutor, Regigigas/Vileplume Stall, Buzzwole, Celebi & Venusaur GX, and Zygarde variants.

As you can see, Lightning decks, particularly PikaRom, have given me significant success recently. I really like these decks a lot because they’re consistent, versatile and very strong. I have been testing these decks extensively for a month and found a variety of ways to play them.

First, let’s just dive into my most recent list:
