Hey guys just wanted to start off by saying this deck was initially suppose to be for Ft. Wayne but it does not change that I still think it is an extremely good deck and a solid choice for Daytona coming up. Thank you for checking out this article and supporting the site. Worlds is over and I had a blast at the tournament. I played a Gardevoir list that was very similar to Diego's who won the tournament and Pablo who went undefeated during the Swiss rounds. I had an unfortunate day two of competition and hit two different Mega Rayquaza players and finished 69th place in the World which is something that I am aiming to improve on this year.

Now it is time to look at our new season and get ready for the many Expanded tournaments that we have coming up. I personally love that there are so many Expanded tournaments this year. It makes more sense to me to have a fairly even amount of Expanded and Standard tournaments instead of just having random Expanded tournaments throughout the year. I also think that the variety of deck options in expanded is so much better right now thanks to the ban of Forest of the Giant Plants and Archeops. The format seems to be wide open with the exception of the hype surrounding the Break decks like Trevenant, Greninja, and Carbink. These decks although strong, are not so dominant that they’ll create a stale format. There are so many viable deck options right now and in this article I will talk about a deck that has not been on anyone's radar for quite some time but has always been a deck that I played at Expanded League Cups. The deck I am talking about is not Greninja even though I do love that deck it is… Archie’s Blastoise! This is a deck that won Worlds, dominated a format, only to fall off thanks to some unfortunate match ups later on. Now is the time for the deck to make a heroic comeback and be a dominant contender in the format once again. There have been a few different things that caused this deck to fall off and the majority of them start with Forest of the Giant plants, Ghetsis, and Trevenant. Now we are in a new format and with Forest banned all we have to do is build a list to beat the other two problems and we will be able to take tournaments down.
